About LeAnn Hilgers

LeAnn grew up on a beautiful grain farm in Saskatchewan, Canada. LeAnn has been modeling & performing since the age of 17. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Management. She has a Master's in Management Information Systems & is a Ph.D. candidate. In the late 1990's LeAnn was stricken with an unknown illness which prevented her digestive system from absorbing nutrients.

LeAnn became critically & chronically ill and spent several years battling this elusive and devastating illness. LeAnn’s story of recovery is both remarkable & unusual. At the most bleak point of this illness, when LeAnn was very thin & extremely weak, she began taking martial arts. She found her health quickly improved. In 2004 she left her home in Canada & moved to New Zealand.

While in New Zealand she seized the opportunity to compete nationally in Tae Kwondo. After months of strenuous training, dedication & courage, LeAnn won a Silver Medal at the ITFNZ 2004 Nationals.

LeAnn also completed a Master's degree in Information systems, not only graduating at the top of her class but graduating with the highest mark given by the university, 1st Class Honors.

LeAnn now travels the world delivering her inspirational & motivational messages of hope & encouragement. She can also be found via her radio, television & print features.
