Description

A mural is cut into 16 pieces and afixed to the rizers of the stair. Quotes embedded in the walls are from books painted in a trompe l'oeil book case. A faux dog greets you at the top of the stairs, while coming down one sees what appears to be a sleeping dog in another room-but is actually a mural. A real dog toy and dish add to the illusion. An empty space between 2 windows is transformed into a cozy reading nook. Mirrors were distressed and gilded and attached to beautify hallway closet doors. Diamonds were painted on the hard wood.
