Description
Initially launched in France, the book became an immediate success with more than 150,000 copies sold to date. The book is now available in England, Germany, Belgium and the United States. Amazing recipes with vegetables - it started as a joke between friends. Arnold Weislo, head of a communication and photography company, realized one day that we can buy foods other than pasta to feed ourselves. He decided in an instant to try his hand at cooking, helped by a friend and in the excitement, an idea was born to make a cookbook. But if the enthusiasm was there, the friends lacked the know-how. In comes … Annabelle Delaval, Arnold’s partner, artist and a mom who cares about a balanced diet, to their aid. She helped to finalize the project based around the theme of vegetables and the book is called: “Easy and Healthy Ways to Prepare Fresh Vegetables.” The idea is so simple, what can we do with a leek, a pumpkin, a fennel bulb? Do you peel it or not? How is it cooked? In this book, even someone who gets lost in a kitchen can get through. All recipes are illustrated in an educational way with a series of lovely photos. With 95 recipes, the Institut Pasteur in Lille, France contributed to the nutritional and dietetic information of each vegetable – they also recommend this book -which has taken off in bookstores and is selling in grocers including Whole Foods Markets. Next up is a book about fruits. Bonjour, Monsieur, I would like some fennel… And pumpkins? The book is a simple guide, with many pictures, tips and tricks for assembling delicious and easy-to-make recipes. Even those who normally shy away from the kitchen will discover the simplicity and deliciousness of eating healthily. Bon Appétit! www.freshlegumes.us; 323-850-0715
