Ed Thacker discusses his award-winning music career working over 2 decades with the greatest music stars of our time. Ed is a successful music engineer and mixer who won 2 Grammy awards and parlayed it into a flourishing television career. Originally Ed was a talented trumpet player who graduated from UCLA with a music degree. Starting at A&M Records he worked his way up in the ranks in the music and rock world, and became known as the best in producing, mixing and engineering records. Ed worked with the greatest – Bruce Springsteen, George Harrison, Chicago, Cyndi Lauper, Stanley Clarke, SuperTramp, Peter Allen, Pat Benatar, Tori Amos, Glass Tiger, Bernie Taupin, XTC, Tom Petty, Starship, Natalie Cole, Kenny Rogers, Vince Gill, Molly Hatchet, Tommy Tutone, The Tubes, Jean-Luc Ponty, and Phish. Ed won two Grammy Awards for Ray Charles’ CD “Genius Loves Company.” Ed now works at Pilgrim Film and Television in sound editing and mixing on reality shows such as “Dirty Jobs,” “Ultimate Fighter,” “Ghost Hunters,” “Extreme Loggers,” “Street Customs” “Modern Marvels” and “American Chopper,” Leonardo DiCaprio’s "The Rebuilding of Greensburg," "Rocco Gets Real," "Sandhogs" and "Destroyed in Seconds." edward.thacker@gmail.com
